  Border crossing:

Arrival in the Dutch Province 'Drenthe', the N37 trunk road will be transformed into the Dutch motorway A37 here.

Arrival or looking back to the German side: the B402 towards Meppen and the A31-autobahn.

End of the B402, and entering Dutch territory of Province Drenthe. On the right an indicator saying 'Netherlands'and Drenthe-Province just below.

  Hebelermeer:

Next to the German trunk road, there is a small local road leading to the village of Zwartemeer ("Black Sea") as well. View from the German side.

Am Schlagbaum (D) / Eemslandweg (NL)

  Hebelermeer:

Make a right turn from the main road (B402) to go the side road.

  Typical German bus-stop sign, yet carrying the name of the foreign Dutch village.

Next to the German trunk road, there is a small local road leading to the village of Zwartemeer as well. View from the Dutch side. The living-house and premises in the background on the left still are Dutch territory, although the street in front of it is German territory.

Eemslandweg (NL) / Am Schlagbaum (D)

  Hebelermeer:

First intersection on the German side, just a few yards from the border-line. On the right a parking-lot can be seen where the border control used to take place, even today in the picture a van of the Dutch Marechaussee can be seen.
